The comeback album after 17 years

Now that’s a surprise: Tears For Fears have announced a new album for February 2022. “The Tipping Point” is the name of the record, the British band’s first album in 17 years

“The upcoming album will be our first new ‘Tears For Fears’ record in 17 years. It was very important to us that this work artfully combines classic ‘Tears For Fears’ production and poignant lyrics. We believe we have created a timely and timeless album that new and old fans will love as much as we do. We can’t wait for you to hear it,” the band says of the comeback record.

A total of ten songs are waiting for you on “The Tipping Point”. The whole thing is available as a standard CD, as a deluxe edition in a 6-panel mint pack including a bonus track and the “Tipping Point” radio edit as well as a classic black LP and exclusively for jpc as a colored vinyl. The color, however, is not yet known

Tears for Fears were formed in 1981 by Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith in Bath, England. Initially, the band was associated with the new wave synthesizer bands of the early 1980s. It later turned to more mainstream pop and achieved international chart success. She was part of the MTV-driven Second British Invasion in the United States. To date, Tears For Fears has released six studio albums, including four Top 5 albums. Most recently, “Everybody Loves A Happy Ending” was released in 2004. In addition to selling 30 million albums worldwide, countless sold-out concerts and numerous awards, the duo’s DNA is deeply embedded in three generations of artists. For example, Kanye West adapted the Tears For Fears hit “Memories Fade” into “The Coldest Winter” from the breakthrough album “808s & Heartbreak,” The Weeknd interpreted “Pale Shelter” into “Secrets,” and Drake used “Ideas As Opiates” as the basis for “Lust For Life.” Lorde also recorded a stunning cover of “Everybody Wants To Rule The World” for The Hunger Games – Catching Fire soundtrack.
